Midfielder Nigel de Jong has revealed that contract talks with Manchester City have broken down.
De Jong has two years to run on his current deal at Eastlands and has established himself as one of the key figures at the club since joining from Hamburg two years ago.
The 26-year-old had hoped to sign a contract extension before the new season, with City due to meet cross-city rival United in the Community Shield on August 7.

After seeing multiple locations publish leaks of the new Manchester City home kit for 2011-2012 I felt betrayed almost. The past two years the kits have been absolute class from the boys at Umbro, in particular David Blanch. The leaks seemed to have no continuation of the history of City kits. Never had the home kit used black for the umbro logo or sponsor logo. The only colors ever used were white or navy. Seeing black left me with no real connection to the history of the club.
After watching this video, I am starting to like the sound design on the front of the kit because it is an actual audio wave of the City crowd singing Blue Moon.
Still not a fan of the checkered collar, but i do like the v-neck shape. I guess I will wait for the full reveal.

After the joyous occasion of watching City win their first trophy in 35 years, I decided I needed a token of history. 
I had to decide whether to go with the t-shirt or the jersey.
I went with the jersey. Couldn’t turn down the amazing deal.
Here’s why I decided to go with the jersey instead of the t-shirt.
First off was the deal. A replica jersey with the FA Cup date above the crest, FA Cup patches, and the special font for the name and number. Secondly, it’s just a great piece to add to my collection.

What a great moment in City history. They completely outclassed Stoke, but did have one scare. Joe Hart came to the rescue with a brilliant save, though.
My favorite moment from the final had to be watching Balotelli chase down Yaya after the goal and slide tackle him.

Liverpool scored after just 12 minutes when new boy Andy Carroll scored from 25 yards out with a rocket. The Reds doubled in the 34th minute when Dirk Kuyt sidefooted a shot into the far post. Then just two minutes later Andy Carroll added his double as he beat Kolarov to a cross to lock it up at 3-nil.
