Edgard Davids has signed a pay-as-you-play deal with Crystal Palace. Davids, an ex-Holland great, has played for prestigious teams such as: Ajax, AC Milan, Barcelona, Inter, Juventus, and Tottenham. Now, 37, Davids faces a new adventure playing in the Championship of England.

“It is an exciting time for the football club, and it is an exciting time for me,” Davids told the club’s website. “I just want to enjoy football and show the best I can do.”

Davids is my all-time favorite footballer. I wish him well at Crystal Palace. When I was young, I totally practiced that heel flick, in my front yard, he does near the end of the ad.
